Life in Herning

The Desert

March 14th, 2008 Posted in After Arrival, News

In Denmark the Easter Holiday is comming up. Here we get 1 week off, from 17-3-08 till 24-03-08. I must say our building is becoming a desert, it’s the only thing I can compare it with, at the moment. Where once was life, is now only death. Almost all exchange students are going home for the holidays. Some for 2 weeks.

I will stay here, in Birk, I guess… My parents are comming over from the 22nd till the 24th. What we are going to do for 3 days? I don’t know. Maybe it’s a good oportunity to learn to know the cities here. If I will show Herning to my parents, I’m afraid that I will only need a few hours. So I guess we’ll have a look around in Denmark (lets hope the weather is any good). A great thing is that my parents will bring me supplies. I asked them if they could bring me some beer (read: more than 1 crate) and some other drinks because they are more expensive here, or totally unknown. Also I asked them to bring some real cheese. I love cheese and the one here… it’s ok but it’s not very great. When my parents go back home, I think we will throw a little party here, a Belgian party with some real beer :P

What I will do for the rest of the week? I don’t really know. Maybe discover some more Denmark, work a bit on my project, We’ll see…
