Århus by Snow

Last friday we went to Århus for a lil’ party night. Because there was not much to do here, and we were with only 4, we could go with my car to Århus. The trip to Århus is about 1h20 driving. The weather was bad, raining all the time, cold, and very windy.  First we went to a bar to have some food and defrost ourselves. This very strange decorated bar (it looked like they collected all stuff they could find on a flee market) we had a good pizza. Later we went to the first “Club”, in the Århus Party Street, called Essen. Our buddy had given this club as an advice. So we checked it out, but it was a cocktail bar actually. And yeah!! real dj’s playing! but no one was dancing, it wasn’t dance music, it was very nice to listen to though.

After an hour or so we went to check out the second club our buddy recommended. The so called Social Club. A danish tradition is free enterance between 23 and 24. We were there at 23:50, so perfect. Also we got a free beer on top of the free enterance, And I must say the music wasn’t bad. It was a typical danish club. Alot of seats and tables, and the dancefloor could contain about 30 people. Imagine…. (or look). After some drinks and some dancing, the DJ was out of record I think, around 3AM he started playing about the same tracklist as at midnight. So that was kind of awkward. We left this club around 4:30 and then we decided to go home. When we came outside there was about 10cm of snow on the road and the cars. Some snowballs later we arrived at the car who looked like a snowmobile. Driving 80km back to Herning was an intensive job because the snow was still on the road. My very small and slim summer tyres did the sliding very well. The grip was a bit less. While we were driving home it was still very windy and snowing all the time, I nearly missed an ice cube in the middle of the road of about 50cm high, skid through one red traffic light, had alot of wheelspin (at every traffic light actually). Around 5:50 we arrived back in herning, so we went to sleep around 6:30. In the end we had a very nice party. Better than crazy daisy for sure.
