Birthday parties
April 4th, 2008 Posted in After Arrival, NewsLast tuesday, 1st of April it was Krzysztof’s birthday, so ofcourse there was a party! And it was a true polish party with, ofcourse, Vodka. It was a nice party, but most of the people left quite early because of the upcomming party next day, Jagos Birthday party. The preparations started by juggling with beer bottles. My parents brought me 1 crate of Jupiler and alot of special beers from belgium, and another crate with a variaty of belgian special beers. Westmalle, Kriek Boon, Vicaris, Palm en Corsendonck. Together with that they brought me some beer and cocktail glasses and a big 1.5L bottle of Fiero. In short, the perfect ingredients for a good party. I also bought a crate of Kylle Kylle (30 bottles), the tuborg easter beer. Beers have to be cold, so I ran around Birk to fill our neighbours fridges with our beers. All our alcohol was cooled in 5 fridges, so no warm drinks for us
Jago wanted to make mojitos. A few days before we did 3.5hours of driving and walking around town to find mint leaves, but in the end it was successful.
At 21 the party started and after picking up Gintare, at 21:30 there were already quite some people. I must say the party was good, the people loved the cocktails and the Belgian beers and the stronger drinks. We never guessed all beers and cocktail ingredients would be finished by the end of the party. We thought we had enough to easily make a second party, but apparently around 20 people was enough to drink it all. We did have enough beers and drinks. I think if we had more, some people might have died that night :P. Around 3:00 the party was running to its ending, which was quite a long time actually, from 21 till 3. The last people left at 4. I left the ending party at 3 and went to AgroSkolen with Gintare then. So the rest is only of “having heard”. At 4 Jago mopped the floor, because when I left, the kitchen floor (aka most busy place and also the fridge full of beer place) was black of dirt. Jago and his friends wanted to go to Copenhagen the next day, but maarten (jagos friend) had to much of everything and only came back to life around 23:00 the next day. When I woke up in Agro, I didn’t hear anything about Jago, so I was quite sure already this plan wouldn’t work out for today.
