The First BBQ

April 25th, 2008 Posted in After Arrival, News

Last monday during Danish lessons, somebody came up with the idea to have a barbeque. The weather in Denmark had been sunny since friday, so we were all happy with this idea. First we said on tuesday, but that wasnt such a good idea, because it was to early. So we decided to do it on wednesday at 17:00. This day was a really nice and sunny day, so I was glad cos the weather was perfect. Well, in Danish norms, perfect. After getting coals in lidl and meat in kvickly (there were no BBQ packages of meat yet, so we had to select meat which would fit for it.) Around 17:30 we started with pouring the coals in the rusty BBQ. After 20 minutes we still didnt succeed to get the bbq burining nicely, so me and Ektor drove back to Kvickly to get some BBQ spiritus. once we got back at, the fire really got started. After eating alot of meat and salads (*drools*) we grilled some apples and bananas, which were really nice. You could feel, when the sun went down, that it was not even May yet, because it was getting cold very fast. But in the end we had a great BBQ, the first one, but certainly not the last one.
